How often should I test for radon?

It is recommended that you test your home for radon every two years. It is also a good idea to test any time changes have been made to the basement, i.e. channel drain or sump pit installation


Where can I get test kits?

Many counties in high level areas offer free test kits. If you do not live in these areas or you are unable to get a kit for any reason contact E.E.T and we can give you information on how you can receive one at no cost.


Who is responsible for radon removal during the sale of a home?

During a real estate transaction, the selling party is typically responsible for any needed mitigation. This can vary from sale to sale so be sure to ask your realtor for specifics.


What are my options for mitigation if radon is found?

If you find your home is at a level you are not comfortable living in there is good news. Most homes can have there levels greatly reduced with a simple mitigation system that is energy efficient and can be easily installed.
